The New Jersey Association of Drug Recognition Experts is a professional organization comprised of certified Drug Recognition Experts across the State. We work closely with the New Jersey State Police- Alcohol and Drug Test Unit, which oversees and manages the DRE Program in New Jersey. Together we ensure that the DRE Program operates at its highest standards in our goal to detect, and identify, and remove drug impaired drivers from our streets.
The New Jersey DRE Association, as it’s commonly referred, strives to keep its members up to date on the latest trends and issues concerning drugged driving. We do this by providing quarterly meetings for our members where we discuss a variety of topics. In addition, we frequently invite guest speakers and host special training sessions where our members can benefit from presentations by experts in their respective fields of study which relate to the DRE Program.
The New Jersey DRE Association will continue to provide its members with the most up to date information in an ever changing field. Together with Prosecutor’s, Lab Personnel, and Academic/Professional Specialists, we will work to combat the problem of drug impaired driving and fight to make our New Jersey roadways a safer place.
